"Knowing you are not alone" is extremely important
to brain injury survivors and the people close to them. One
of the best ways to connect with others during the recovery
process is to participate in a support group where they can
talk, listen, share, and support each other.
PUBLIC EDUCATION AND AWARENESS
L.A.B.I.S provides public education regarding the different
types of brain injuries and prevention awareness.
Life Enrichment Program (LEP)
L.A.B.I.S offers this program to provide leisure, recreational,
and social activities which will foster growth for cognitively
&/or physically impaired persons who have sustained a
brain injury. The program not only enhances the life of the
participant, but also offers relief to the caregiver.
Under the guidance of a program co-ordinator and a team of
volunteers, the LEP program provides an environment of life
experiences and encourages the development of interpersonal
relationships.
